I'm the person managing an R programming tutorial blog called excel2rlang.com. I go by the name Snitch, borrowed from my cat's name 🐈‍⬛

The main blog's policy was to take time carefully writing and revising well-organized R-related content, but I always had complaints like it's hard to write about things unrelated to R or light topics, and I don't like the WordPress and PHP framework.

Also, about two months ago, someone said "Snitch-san, your blog loads slowly," which ticked me off a bit... 😓

Around that time, I started hearing here and there that Quarto is hot, so I decided to create a blog using Quarto with a light attitude of wanting to ride this trend.

##Hugo and Quarto

Looking closely at Quarto's documentation, I found it can render to Hugo, so I decided to create a blog with Hugo.

I found people using the {blogdown} package to bring in Hugo rendering, but I couldn't find anyone explaining how to create a blog with Quarto without choosing a Hugo theme.

I hope the explanation of how to create a Quarto blog here will be useful for someone, and if it becomes well-organized content, I might reorganize it and upload it to the main blog.
